1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?

The first 5 things that come to mind, in no particular order:

Co-write and publish a book, go to Wooferland, get not one but two swimming diplomas, dove off a very high thingie at the swimmingpool and eaten brussel sprouts.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

No, I’m not into resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

Yes, my cousin in Australia had a girl.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

No, but as you all know my cat Rood nearly died.

5. What countries did you visit?

No travels this year.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?

Peace and quiet and maybe even a little bit of boredom ;-)

7. What date from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory forever?

The second of june, when Rood nearly croaked.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

Finally jumping off that thing!

9. What was your biggest failure?

I don’t believe in failure.

10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?

I suffered from sinusitis for (litteraly!) months, which eventually forced me to take a course of antibiotics (the thing I desperately wanted to avoid in the first place).

10bis. What was the best thing you bought?

My AlphaSmart. It’s genius.

11. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Everyone who tries to be a better and nicer person every day.

12. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?

People who are now officially and forever out of my life.

13. Where did most of your money go?

Basic nescessities.

14. What thing did you get really, really, really excited about?

Seeing Madonna again, going to Wooferland, publishing that d$#@mn book.

16. What song will always remind you of 2006?

"Swallow" by Emilie Autumn, it has been on my mp3 player and thus travelled with me everywhere I went.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? happier
b) thinner or fatter? Same I guess
c) richer or poorer? Same I guess

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Inline skating

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?

Like always: worrying (I should remember that worrying prevents joy, not disaster)

20. How will you be spending the Christmas break?

I already did, The Big Kahuna and I had dinner, painted ceilings (her) and chucked out 50 kilos of seriously outdated magazines (me).

21. Did you fall in love in 2006?

Over and over again!

22. How many one-night stands?

N/a

23. What was your favorite TV program?

I hardly ever watch tv.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?

I don’t hate people, hating people f$#%cks up your karma.

25. What was the best book you read?

Uh... I guess "The Simple living guide" by Janet Luhrs, which inspired me to continue downsizing on everything in life (quality over quantity).

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?

Fall Out Boy

27. What did you want and get?

A new computer, an AlphaSmart, my swimming diplomas.

28. What did you want and not get?

This year, I got everything I wanted.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?

The Holiday

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?

I turned 31 and went to see the movie “The Holiday” with my BFF.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

More peace and quiet and maybe even a little boredom (see question no. 6)

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?

Still the urban princess thing… maybe I should let go of that ;-)

33. What kept you sane?

Writing, singing & dancing… although I still wouldn’t consider myself “sane” by “normal” standards, which IMHO is a good thing.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?

Everyone at the House of LogPoes wants to have Pete Wentz's baby! ;-P

35. What political issue stirred you the most?

Let’s not go there for safety reasons (I might go into convulsions if I start thinking about politics)

36. Who did you miss?

The people some people used to be.

37. Who was the best new person you met?

I’m not playing favorites here, I met a lot of nice people this year.

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.
